The "IPMI Request Match NOT FOUND" message indicates that ipmitool received a packet it didn't expect. This determination is made by examining the incoming packet's command and sequence numbers and comparing them with a list outstanding requests made to the BMC. My guess would be the the received packet IS expected, but the BMC has munged the sequence number (or something like that). A packet dump would be useful here. If you are running ipmitool on Linux, you can generate a useful packet dump with the command: tcpdump -s 0 -i eth0 -x port 623 With the tcpdump output, you can determine exactly what ipmitool is receiving (and decide whether this is a BMC issue or an ipmitool issue).
