This isn't going well. > What is wrong? ODBCTest? Is that the problem? What is wrong? Since you've been working with the pgodbc driver, you may have multiple odbc.ini files. This is one of the downsides of the iODBC implementation on OS X - it looks for the odbc.ini file in multiple places. If it finds it one place, it stops looking in other places. For example, the standard place to put an odbc.ini file is in ~/Library/ODBC. However, if you create a file named ".odbc.ini" in your home directory, iODBC will stop reading the odbc.ini file in the standard location, since it has a lower precedence. I suppose this was done for "flexibility" - but it certainly complicates things for beginners (Windows users don't have this problem). Our drivers have an installer log in the ~/Library/Logs folder. The installer looks at all the various locations where an odbc.ini file might be placed that interfere with an odbc.ini file in the standard location, and logs the presence or absence of those files in the log file. I suggest you consolidate all your odbc.ini files into a single one at the standard location. If you have trouble reading the log file, please don't hesitate to send it to me and I will interpret it for you. I'll work with you offline to troubleshoot any issues you have with the Actual driver. I assure you that you will be able to get up and running quickly.
