Hi, I'm a newbie to this at the moment and am having some problems get iodbc to work correctly with FreeTDS on Solaris 9 SPARC In FreeTDS the tsql is working fine using the DSN system ( tsql -S servername -U username -P password ) this connects and works as expected. However when I execute iodbctest "DSN=3Ddsnname;UID=3Duser;PWD=3Dpassword" = I get the results below: odbc.log: ** iODBC Trace file ** Trace started on Thu Jan 12 15:41:24 2006 ** Driver Manager: 03.52.0205.0204 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLDriverConnect with return code -1 (SQL_ERROR) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLPOINTER 0x0 SQLCHAR * ffbff8a8 SQLSMALLINT -3 (SQL_NTS) SQLCHAR * ffbff280 SQLSMALLINT 1024 SQLSMALLINT * ffbff082 SQLUSMALLINT 2 (SQL_DRIVER_PROMPT) Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 | 08001 | SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 (0) SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 | [FreeTDS][SQL Server]Unable to connect t | | o data source | SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 2 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 2 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbfeef8 SQLINTEGER * ffbfeef4 SQLCHAR * ffbfef08 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 | 08001 | SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 (0) SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 | [FreeTDS][SQL Server]Unable to connect t | | o data source | SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 2 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 SQLSMALLINT 2 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLGetDiagRec SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLGetDiagRec with return code 100 (SQL_NO_DATA_FOUND) SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 SQLSMALLINT 1 SQLCHAR * ffbffb98 SQLINTEGER * ffbffb94 SQLCHAR * ffbffba8 SQLSMALLINT 250 SQLSMALLINT * 0x0 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLFreeHandle SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLFreeHandle with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLSMALLINT 2 (SQL_HANDLE_DBC) SQLHDBC 641f8 Application 00000001 ENTER SQLFreeHandle SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 Application 00000001 EXIT SQLFreeHandle with return code 0 (SQL_SUCCESS) SQLSMALLINT 1 (SQL_HANDLE_ENV) SQLHENV 636e0 ** Trace finished on Thu Jan 12 15:41:24 2006 the tdslog is as below which indicates that tds is connecting to the SQL server and logging in successfully....
