[Infiniband-hca_ddk] What component is responsible forserializing accesses to handles?

Dear Lists' members,

 I am wondering what component should do serialization for simlutaneous 
or concurrent accesses on various handles such as cq_h, qp_h etc. in
general.

 I have made a cursory look into Early reference code HCA driver for
Intel's HCA and the Access Layer, and I have not found  serialization
code forvarious types of accesses on handles. For example, what
components should do what to prevent inconsistency among pieces of
information if destory_qp() is called while modify_qp() is ongoing ?

 Could someone give me some basic and/or just rough guidance
statements on the serialization policy of handles ? I am wondering if
all the serialzation should be done by HCA drivers (in the callbacks
they provide), while it would probably make HCA drivers rather complex.
