Thanks for reporting about the issues you noticed under Gujarati (gu-IN)  locale file. I have got some inputs here on the below reported issues.

1. in LC_MONETARY currency_symbol should be actually "૱" It's neither "રૂ" nor "રુ". As per the unicode chart.
2. in LC_TIME the abday for Thursday should be "ગુરુ" and day should be "ગુરુવાર" only. I just checked the spelling once again on the Gujartilexicon, wikipedia, Gujarati Akshar Prakashan dictionary by A J Patel, as well as Alpha Dictionary.
3. spelling of "શ્રીમતી" is correct. yes, that's right.
4. "શ્રીમાન" or "શ્રી" both can be used, there is no issue with that.
5. "સશ્રી" is definitely not in use nowdays, but it's the word to be placed.

So, out of the five reported i see only one (3rd) issue needs to be fixed.

I'm not sure how to report correctly bugs to glibc (and what about the 
eglibc fork?) and I'd like to see what other Indlinux people think so 
I'm going to describe bugs here.

I'm using libc6 2.9-13 on Debian unstable.
I think there are mistakes in Gujarati (gu_IN) locales:
* in LC_MONETARY currency_symbol should be રૂ (<U0AB0><U0AC2>), not રુ 
(<U0AB0><U0AC1>)
* in LC_TIME the abday for Thursday should be ગુરૂ 
(<U0A97><U0AC1><U0AB0><U0AC2>), not ગુરુ (<U0A97><U0AC1><U0AB0><U0AC1>)
* in LC_TIME the day for Thursday should be ગુરૂવાર 
(<U0A97><U0AC1><U0AB0><U0AC2><U0AB5><U0ABE><U0AB0>), not ગુરુવાર 
(<U0A97><U0AC1><U0AB0><U0AC1><U0AB5><U0ABE><U0AB0>)
* in LC_NAME name_mrs should be શ્રીમતી 
(<U0AB6><U0ACD><U0AB0><U0AC0><U0AAE><U0AA4><U0AC0>), not શ્રીમતિ 
(<U0AB6><U0ACD><U0AB0><U0AC0><U0AAE><U0AA4><U0ABF>)
* in LC_NAME શ્રી (<U0AB6><U0ACD><U0AB0><U0AC0>) is more used than શ્રીમાન 
(<U0AB6><U0ACD><U0AB0><U0AC0><U0AAE><U0ABE><U0AA8>) for name_mr
* in LC_NAME I'm not sure anyone uses સશ્રી 
(<U0AB8><U0AB6><U0ACD><U0AB0><U0AC0>) for name_ms

Can other Gujarati speakers confirm all that?
