Thanks for your comments. Rodolfo's reply more or less covers the state of things, but here are my comments just in case you want the "official" response... On 2/7/2004, "Doug Mandell" <dma...@gr...> wrote: >I use Bogofilter, which adds a header called "X-Bogosity", my users now use that header to filter spam out of their inbox. The problem is that when I try to use Ilohamail to filter based on that header it doesn't seem to work. I switch the field to "Other" and type "X-Bogosity" in the "Other" text box, make the condition "Does" "contain" "Yes", name it and set a priority, the filter saves fine, but if I edit it again the Field has switched from Other to From:, and what I've typed in the "Other" box no longer exists. Yes, this will be implemented/fixed. >I only have three other suggestions, the first is that you make it easier for people >to create new themes (I don't see anything in 0.9, though from what I've read it >looks like you're working on it). The themes feature will be one of my major areas of focus for 0.9. >The second suggestion is that you allow logged in users to come back to their mailbox >without having to log in. I know this is something that many users want, but as Rodolfo pointed out, I have no intention of implementing such features because it's simply shoddy security practice. If you need to access another website, open a new tab/window. If you get logged out, just log back in -it takes all of 10 seconds. Laziness is no excuse for compromising security, and it's about time users learned that. >Finally, it'd be nice if the user could sync the address book and contact list with >a PDA or other calendaring/contact management software. Any plans to implement >this in the future? There's an optional 3rd-party CSV importer that's included in 0.8.12, which will likely be integrated with IlohaMail somewhere down the line. I've heard sporadic reports of people looking into iCard/vCard integration, but nothing's come of it yet... I understand the need for better synchronization features, but I probably won't get around to it until after 0.9 (I guess that'd be 1.0). >Pardon me any of the above is already working in Ilohamail, I've read pretty >thoroughly through the documentation, hopefully I haven't missed anything obvious. No, these are all good questions. Thanks again. Ryo |
