Okay, I need help! I tried to run the uninstaller.command, didn't run. I tried reinstalling privoxy, made a bunch of .old files. How can I manually remove this, or make it work on the new Mac OSX Mavericks?

    Hi matrixfox,

I suspect that the uninstall.command script was ineffective because it needs Administrator rights to operate correctly. Ensure you are logged in as an account that has the 'Allow user to administer this computer' box ticked in System Preferences->Accounts, then run the script by opening Terminal, changing directory to the Privoxy folder as follows:

    cd /Applications/Privoxy

and then running the script as follows:

    ./uninstall.command

You can opt to retain your existing configuration during this process if you choose.

Once the uninstall is complete you can reinstall from scratch and all should be well.

Please follow the above instructions and let me know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Ian

Is this still an issue with Privoxy 3.0.24?

I don't think it was an issue even with the version against which it was logged ;o)

    Closing due to no response.
