We started using IDJC to stream flac and/or ogg to oggVorbis stream to an icecast2 server. Everything went well until about a week ago. Suddenly we found Firefox and Cortado was dropping the stream after each song. After investigating, we've come to believe it's either as a result of IDJC sending chained Ogg stream or metadata. I noticed a bug fix about metadata in the last update. Nothing really changed in our setup when it happened.

I'm on a Ubuntu 10.10 system using IDJC 0.8.3. Any help would be appreciated, as I liked the Cortado setup for any browser. Were currently looking at Jorbis as a substitute.

Any suggestion would be appreciated as we've just lost our ability to stream well with idjc.

It's a result of certain players not being able to handle chained Ogg. You can turn off metadata updates in the main application window and go without. There is no other solution.

This problem affects all gstreamer based players and has done for many years.

I see that IDJC will send multiple streams. Will IDJC send the metadata of a current playlist in a separate stream? If so I are you aware of html/javascript code that allows a widget I could place alongside the stream that would display the song playing, played, and upcoming?
