Background images

I am trying to get ice to cooperate with me. For some reason, my .xsession file is ignored and not run when starting ice through kdm. IF anyone knows what might cause this let me know.

My real problem is taht I cannot get multiple background images to work correctly. I want to have a seperate background image for each desktop (that's 10 background images!) Does anyone know how thhis can be done?
