Just a comment: using DesktopBackgroundImage makes icewm load the image into its memory space, which causes its memory usage to increase a lot. I personally prefer using an external program (I use display from ImageMagick), which gets run from my .xinitrc before icewm. Then the background is set and the program exits, not using any additional memory. Note that, in this case, both DesktopBackgroundImage and DesktopBackgroundColor _do_ have to be set to "" to prevent icewm from overwriting the image when it starts up. --Diego |
