You might have missed a lot. Only last year, some advanced improvements were made. Most problems are nog in Hunspell itself, but in the calling apps. They all use different approaches to define word boundaries. Which is not as trivial as it looks? Where are the word boundaries in: He said: 'I love Pete's shoes' yesterday|.| Ofcourse it is: |He| |said|:| |'|I| |love| |Pete's| |shoes|'| |yesterday|.| And that is just an apostroph. Image the problems to detect abbreviations versus ends of sentences! What we are actually missing, is a general common word tokenizer on top of spell checker (and grammar), different per language.
