|'ve tried a couple of variations of compiling the 3.0.2b5 suite, and using a number of configuration options when running ./configure prior to make/make install..... In particular I'm trying to govern where the files will end up (I don't want to use /opt/www.....) and mostly it works as I expect, but it looks to me like I can't actually set the following: --with-database-dir=DIR Set this to the directory where the search databases are going to be. (Make sure there is plenty of space on the partition you put this on!) [default=/opt/www/var/htdig]. or, at least, I can set it, but it gets ignored. This is the case if I set it explicitly, or if I simply set --prefix=WhatIWant - in both cases the htdig executable seems to insist on creating the db files in the default (i.e. /opt/www/var/htdig) when I try to do the ./rundig bit I've checked the file called config.log to make sure I typed it right, and I can see the correct value elsewhere, but I don't understand enough about make etc to see exactly what I need to fix. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please? -- Nicholas Booth Royal Bank of Scotland CBFM Intranet *********************************************************************************** The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
