Exciting news! We are currently in the planning stages for adding 5010 support to HIPAATalk. We are hoping to have 5010 837P/I/D parsing completed by the end of Q1-2010.
Like now, we won't be able to support 100% of the segments and elements in the 5010 transactions, but we will try to ensure that HIPAAATalk will be able to handle a majority of it.
During development, we're also going to work on some performance tuning and code cleanup. For example, we've got a bunch of cursors that we'd like to convert to set-based to speed things up.... read more
Be aware that we are currently updating the 835 export to improve efficiency and add additional functionality to make balancing more accurate. The code changes are available via SVN, otherwise a full package will be available at a later date.
The HIPAATalk 0.0.1.9 full install package has been re-released with fixes to the 837P and 837I import and export scripts. If you have the previously released 0.0.1.9 database, you should upgrade it to this one. Custom upgrade scripts are available on request by posting a forum message or emailing the admin.
A SQL fix for HIPAATalk 0.0.1.7 has been released. This script fixes a problem where the sub-element component separator was hard-coded. The SQL script must only be run on a 0.0.1.7 database and will update it to v0.0.1.8.
An updated version of HIPAATalk has been released. This fixes several bugs found in the export and import procedures as well as adds a record number of columns to the 837-I table. The package includes some sample data in a spreadsheet which was sorely missing.
The newest version of HIPAATalk has the ability to parse and export both the 837I and 837P. Some upcoming functions of HIPAATalk include the 277 claim response.
The latest version of HIPAATalk has been released. Some updates include parsing for the 837I and 841 transactions.
HIPAATalk is an X12 document parser and generator which uses flattened tables as an DB-API to and from the X12 format. It is written using T-SQL and DTS on SQL Server 2000. It works great with very large datasets! The current release includes new support for exporting a compliant 835 file as well as a new view that uses NSF field names to display 837P data.
