What interface are you using. rigctld or the python bindings? I believe that the rigctl only queries the rig cap database. What happens if you actually get dcd in rigctl? I have not seen any python docs. I have been experimenting with writing a gui interface for rigctld which replaces rigctl. Socket sync blocking issues can be problematic. I have been told that the direct python bindings are broken and need work Unfortunately, I don't know autotools well enough to fix them. de ad7ai Sent from my ASUS Eee Pad Ricardo Leonardo <ct...@gm...> wrote: >Hi, > >I'm on a Uni project concerning developing an automated scanning system >with an ICOM PCR1000 and linux. >I'm thinking on using hamlib as API for my sw, with python binding. > >I already made some simple programs in python interacting with the radio, >but can't use essential features like scanning and checking squelch >status (as sw scanning (changing freq and checking signal) gets too slow). >Can't figure if ît's wrong method calling or unsupported operation.
