Don't run 'make check'.  That is a GNU project target we don't need to
support.  :)

Do a 'make install' (use sudo if needed or gain root privileges) and
then do 'ldconfig' to make sure the libraries are found.  The file
README.betatester has more information.

After installation then you can test the rotor.
