Hi everyone. I decided to try to catch up to the latest releases so I could add some functionality I needed into the kernel. I checked out build 315 from Subversion, did a full build and install and ran into some problems. 1) MMC does not seem to work from Linux. It works fine in U-Boot but once Linux loads I can't convince it to mount the MMC card. The MMC modules are all loading, but don't really give out any messages when they do. I did find that if I start the Gumstix, go into U-Boot, do mmcinit and then boot, Linux will see the MMC and mount it but without that step it fails. So, is Linux not initializing the card for some reason in recent releases? 2) USB Gadget doesn't seem to work at all. Windows never sees the USB device appear and plugging / unplugging the cable gives no console messages. I reverted back to r162 from Sourceforge and it works fine, so the hardware seems to be okay. 3) I wanted to enable I2C so I did a menuconfig and added I2C support and the PXA bus driver. I got this working fine, but I had to add: #include <asm/arch/pxa-regs.h> to gumstix-buildroot/build_arm/linux-2.6.10-gum/drivers/i2c/busses/i2c-pxa.c That worked fine, but just wanted to let you all know in case someone else is having the same problems and ask if I did something wrong making this required? So, anyone able to help with #1 or #2? Thanks! Jason von Nieda |
