Using scp, you can certainly replace individual elements within the filesystem, but I don't believe you can use it to replace the entire filesystem. For that, you would be best served by putting the image you want on an MMC card and using U-Boot's tools to burn the new image in flash. The www.gumstix.org Tiki has the specific commands needed to do this with their exact syntax. If you don't have a way to write to an MMC card from your FC3 system, you could use scp to copy it to the card mounted in your stix. ________________________________ From: gum...@li... Subject: [SPAM] - [Gumstix-users] Replace filesystem image using the usb connection - Email found in subject I plan to have a number of gumstix devices acting as home automation controllers and want to be able to control them centrally and load new software into them automatically. I've got my gumstix talking to FC3 over the usb connection Is there a way to replace the filesystem image using this connection - using scp or something like tftp?
