[Gumstix-users] Closeups of serial connector misalignment

Hi Craig,

I got my camera with macro mode back, and I took a couple of closeups.

connector is located right next to the edge.

http://www.davehylands.com/Misc/gumstix/P0004187.JPG shows how the
close connector is tilted slightly to the left. Compare the vertical
edge of the connector with the edge of the USB connector. Also you can
see how the flat horizonatl surfaces don't quite line up.

http://www.davehylands.com/Misc/gumstix/P0004190.JPG shows a small gap
under the black portion of the left connector (which is the straighter
one). The right connector is right down on the surface. Interestingly
enough, the corresponding "tabs" on the back side are both flush
against the surface which implies to me that they aren't the same
length.

Sorry about the blurry-ness. i have to do manual focus with the macro mode.

Anyways, consider this how you will. I'm not complaining, just
pointing out some areas which might need a bit of
improvement/investigation :)
