Hello, does anyone know how the framebuffer stuff works with the 2.6 kernel (2.6.6 specifically)? We have been using 2.4 kernels for a long time but modifying pxafb.c and pxafb.h in drivers/video, but have recently tried going to 2.6.6. I can enable the fb support in make config, and the kernel will compile. However after loading the new kernel, the LCCR registers are not set up and the LCD port is not running. It seems like the ARM and ARM/fb stuff is a lot different in 2.6. Maybe I need to put in a start option to the kernel from the bootloader or something? Any leads on where to look for info on this would be appreciated! (I know, I know, I can just read the source. Unfortunately I am not studly enough for that to be helpful in any but the most simple circumstances). Thanks, -Holly Gates |
