OK thanks, i made the directories and then downloaded the debugger in it
using this commands:

/$ cd ${HOME}/cortex-m3/arm-eabi/targets/tarballs/
/$ wget ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gdb/gdb-7.2a.tar.bz2/
/$ mv gdb-7.2a.tar.bz2 gdb-7.2.tar.bz2/

now when i check the configuration of the /ct.ng/, it can not detect the
debugger at all. I got the following: 

/$ ct-ng menuconfig
Debug facilities  ---
[ ] gdb  --->
---gdb/

I  tried also with another version of the crosstool-NG, but still the it not
able to detect the debugger automatically.
is there is a way to make ct-ng tool to detect the debugger Manuelly?
