I tend to just use the 'formatcard' script made by the gumstix guys: http://gumstix.8.n6.nabble.com/microSD-partitioning-and-formatting-td65079 2.html Unless of course you need a very specific partitioning scheme. In which case, there are many examples of how to partition cards properly (I recall some in the wiki). Sounds like the card didn't have its partition table written out correctly in this case, however! -----Original Message----- From: The Real Todd Kelly [mailto:it...@ma...] Sent: Tuesday, 6 March 2012 12:38 PM To: gum...@li... Subject: [Gumstix-users] Partitioning the micro SD card Hey folks, thanks for being here. I'm creating a bootable SD card for the first time, and I am stick at creating the partitions. Ubuntu (11.10) tells me that /dev/sdb1p1 and dev/sdb1p2 are not to be found, right after I create them in fdisk. I'm sure that this is old hat to you guys but I'm stumped. Can someone help me get past this? Thanks! Todd -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Keep Your Developer Skills Current with LearnDevNow!
