What kinds of problems are you having? You shouldn't have to patch the kernel to use gstreamer and the gst-ti plug in. You do have to modify it to add the ISP to capture from the Caspa, but if you follow the wiki instructions, then bitbake should take care of things for you. With the dsp, you do need to alter your boot parameters to reserve some memory for cmem. Is the cmem module loading ok for you? To test gstreamer, you might start without the camera. Just do some simple videotestsrc ! fakesink type pipelines. Then try adding the gst-ti elements, then try adding the v4l2src for the camera. Also, look at the CE_DEBUG and gstreamer debug features-- they will help you figure out why something is not working. -chris On Sun, Apr 3, 2011 at 6:48 AM, Andrea VICARI <and...@gm...> wrote: > hello, > after a week of tries I am here because I need help! > I was not able to install the Gstreamer plugins from TI, to stream Caspa > video through wifi. > I have searched the mailing list archive and found some help, but I am > still not able to have the plugins running! > I did not understand if it is necessary to patch the kernel to use the > DSP or it is optional? > Please help me finding a tutorial or a place to study IOT stream the > video. > thanks in advance > -- > Andrea > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Create and publish websites with WebMatrix > Use the most popular FREE web apps or write code yourself; > WebMatrix provides all the features you need to develop and > publish your website. http://p.sf.net/sfu/ms-webmatrix-sf > _______________________________________________ > gumstix-users mailing list > gum...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gumstix-users > |
