libgcc_s is not in the correct diretory move/symlink it. I don't remember where irt was, but the problem was that /usr/lib/libgcc_s... is a symlink to local dir, but the actual lib is in /lib (or something similar). use find and ls to find the missing link: find / -name "*gcc_s*" - print ls -l TylerMc wrote: > > I am new to Gumstix and have been unsuccessful at getting the C/C++ > compilers to work. > I have a OVERO water with TOBI setup and 8GB sd card. > I successfully built an SD image and believe I followed the 'Hello World' > example correctly getting the necessary opkg packages for C/C++ > development. > > When I run gcc against my hello world test code, I get the following: > > gcc test.c -o helloWorld > /usr/lib/gcc/arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/4.3.3/../../../../arm-angstrom-linux-gnueabi/bin/ld: > cannot find -lgcc_s > collect2: ld returned 1 exit status > > Does anyone know how to solve this problem? > I appear to have a symlink /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so which points to a > non-existant libgcc_s.so.1 file. > Anybody know which package that file lives in? opkg search came up > empty-handed. > Thanks in advance. > -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/gcc-compiler-is-not-working.-tp30818018p30836468.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
