Markus, I went about this another way using the iwconfig utility. My earlier attempt at this was unsuccessful. With a little bit of digging, I realized that the reason for this was that I am using an ad-hoc network. As soon as I switched the mode to managed, I was able to power off the radio. # Turn Wifi OFF ifdown wlan0 sleep 2.0 iwconfig wlan0 mode managed sleep 2.0 iwconfig wlan0 txpower off # Turn Wifi ON iwconfig wlan0 txpower auto ifup wlan0 Hopefully this will work for you as well. -Arvind Markus Svilans-2 wrote: > > > Please, I am also dying to know how to do this :-) > > I have tried the same thing as Arvind, with the same results. > > Also, I tried the following command, specifying the firmware files that > appear to be used when the system boots: > > modprobe libertas_sdio fw_name="/lib/firmware/sd8686.bin" > helper_name="/lib/firmware/sd8686_helper.bin" > > This also fails, and produces the messages: > > lib80211: common routines for IEEE802.11 drivers > libertas_sdio: Libertas SDIO driver > libertas_sdio: Copyright Pierre Ossman > libertas_sdio: probe of mmc1:0001:1 failed with error -110 > > > Regards, > Markus. > > > -- View this message in context: http://old.nabble.com/Re%3A-libertas_sdio%3A-reload-problem-tp26529074p30042358.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
