Good afternoon. I am trying to setup a wlan0 to eth0 bridge and when I type in the command: brctl addbr <bridge> I receive this as an error: add bridge failed: Package not installed. I have reinstalled the bridge-utils package, but when I do I get this message: bridge-utils: unsatisfied recommendation for kernel-module-bridge >From what I have read, the bridge-module is not loaded or installed as part of the kernel (I am not sure if I have the proper terminology) and that I have to "re-build" the kernel... That being said, I am not sure how to rebuild the kernel with this module specifically loaded. Can some one guide me through the process?? Does it involve bitbake? Have played with linux before but not this distribution nor have I had to rebuild a kernel before. Or, better yet, is there an easier way to setup the wlan0 to eth0 bridge??
