I have been trying to get the CCD camera to work with the gumstix verdex, and I have a few questions. The camera is a Starlight Xpress CCD camera. I am connecting it to the Gumstix via the USB port on the console vx board. I cross compiled the drivers. I transferred the modules to the gumstix. On entering the gumstix environment, I used insmod to insert the 2 required modules ccd.ko and sx_usb.ko ccd.ko gets registered at major #127. And on inserting sx_usb.ko, it says starlight xpress usb registered. lsmod shows me both the modules inserted in the module list. After this i do a mknod /dev/ccda c 127 0. But when i try to cat /dev/ccda, it says no such device found. I was wondering if I have to add some additional modules to the linux kernel and rebuild it, but I could not pin point the exact problem. Could anyone advise me as to what the problem could be? -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/gumstix-and-CCD-camera-through-USB-port-tp24650956p24650956.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
