My U11 is running very hot without an LCD attached. So, I'm sidetracked seeking out how to disable the backlight power supply via software, which may make my Palo 43 run cooler during development. But, eventually I intend to add the LCD. Overall, a bit frustrating. I've looked carefully for accidental solder bridges or other manufacturing mistakes, but haven't found either yet. Yeah, I dont think these devices should be reaching such high temps. I find it interesting that its the backlight display circuits would generate heat. Do you typically have an LCD connected? I wonder if the LCD needs to be connected in order for the system to operate normally. Without C7 on my board, I will most likely not be able to power up my system to experiment. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Powering-up-overo-water-%2B-palo43-board-tp23676892p23681556.html Sent from the Gumstix mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
