Hi, I just learnt today that the folks at ti have a ti-2.6 kernel repository into which they are checking in a lot of patches for the OMAP, related to the android platform, ie. these are OMAP specific patches. Will these patches be available in the linux-omap-2.6 repository? What is the strategy for incorporating omap specific patches. Is someone manually extracting ti's omap patches and manually applying it to overo linux-omap3-2.6 ? Best regards, Elvis Hi Elvis, Please find comment below Regards! -Leed -----Original Message----- From: Elvis Dowson [mailto:elv...@ma...] Sent: Thursday, April 23, 2009 5:57 AM To: Aguilar Pena, Leed Cc: oma...@om... Subject: Re: [Omapandroid-discussion] [PATCH] OMAP3: PM: Setting a constraint according to the value of cpuidle_deepest_st Hi Leed, Is there a separation between the linux-omap3 part and the android part in that repository? [LEED] We are not using the linux-omap3, instead we are using the ti-2.6.27 kernel. We don't have a separation, I continuously merged the android-2.6.27-common-tree from Google repository Android-2.6.27 = ti-2.6.27 kernel(omapzoom) + android-2.6.27-common tree (google repositoru) I am using the following repository to get all my linux-omap updates: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap-2.6.git Will all the patches that you submit, which are specific to OMAP enhancements to make android work, make it to the tmlind/linux- omap-2.6.git repository? [LEED] All the patches are OMAP specific enhancements.
