I am trying to transfer some .txt files from the gumstix to my ubuntu system without success. Anyone know of a way to transfer files? I can upload files just fine from ubuntu to the gumstix but when I try to go the other direction nothing occurs. I've read the wiki and it says: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To receive a file from the Gumstix: 1. Transmit the file(s) using 'sz', specifying them as arguments. 2. The terminal, ideally, will detect and accept the transfer automatically. If the transfer does nothing, or if you encounter a "Failure executing protocol" error, while trying to send a file with Zmodem under minicom, you should install a Y/Z modem. On debian based systems, such as ubuntu, run the following command # apt-get install lrzsz -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- lrzsz, minicom and ckermit are installed on both systems. I initially minicom -o into the gumstix serially from ubuntu. I can upload files from ubuntu onto the gumstix using Ctl-A S then Browsing the files on ubuntu and choosing what I need to upload but for some reason I can not download from the gumstix. I have tried sz -a *.txt on the gumstix and it says: sz: garbage on commandline Try `sz --help' for more information. If I try Ctrl-A R it will popup a window to choose from z modem, y modem, x modem, kermit. If I pick z modem it displays rz waiting to receive.Retry 0: Got TIMEOUT Retry 0: Got TIMEOUT Retry 0: Got TIMEOUT Retry 0: Got TIMEOUT .. etc... then blows out. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott Brown |
