I've asked a question related to this before but haven't received a response. I have a verdex-xm4 with robostix and netwifimicrosd. I want to add USB and RS232 interfaces to connect various peripheral devices but am unable to add a fourth board easily to the existing stack. I am thinking I might be able to get a ribbon style connector with 60-pin hirose connectors attached along the length of the ribbon and at each end. The connectors would be similar to those at the gumstix store (http://gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=93) but not board terminating. One end of the ribbon will plug into the verdex-xm4 and the robostix and console-vx will be connected to additional 60-pin connectors along the length of the ribbon. Has anyone attempted this approach? Will this approach work or is the 60-pin connector on the verdex limited to only one expansion board? Thoughts, ideas? I could make my own custom buddy board similar to the tweener but I really don't have the time for that. Thanks, Brian Joly ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your home page. http://www.yahoo.com/r/hs |
