Clair, If you enabled the mmc MACHINE_FEATURES, the two mmc modules should have automatically been added to /etc/modules. Check again to make sure that you did in fact enable it. Another possbility: when you change MACHINE_FEATURES you'll can't just "bitbake gumstix-basic-image", you have to: bitbake -c rebuild task-base-gumstix bitbake -c rebuild gumstix-basic-image The task-base-gumstix package is the one that works all the magic for MACHINE_FEATURES, so it has to be rebuilt whenever you change one.
