I am extreme newbie to Gumstix, so I apologize if I am missing something obvious. What I have is: - Verdex XM4 - consoleLCD-vx (with Samsung LCD) - netwifi-microSD FCC When I run with just the Verdex XM4 & consoleLCD-vx everything seems to boot fine. I can access the system either via Hyperterminal or with GtkTerm funning on Fedora. The LCD displays the splashcreen and so on. Great! The Verdex is running buildroot 1559. When I connect the netwifi-microSD the system no longer boots. I have tried changing the "modules" and "modprobe.conf" files as suggested in various posts but it still will do nothing. The light is on ON on both the ConsoleLCD and the netwifi-microSD, but there is no activity on my serial terminal. Also, there is no sign the unit is going out to DHCP to get an IP address. I have also tried removing the wifi module from the netwifi board and it seems to make no difference. Should I install a more recent buildroot image? This looks to me as if something is wrong with the netwifi-microSD board hardware. Thanks, Chris |
