Thanks, everyone, for trying to help this noob get his system working. I recompiled u-boot with the 600 MHz setting. Then, I loaded Dave Hyland's verdex 1352 rootfs.arm_nofpu.jffs2 and uImage files. (I did not load his u-boot.) Dave's system is built for bluetooth, which I don't have, so I got a few squawks on startup, but the system did boot successfully and I was able to log in. Then, I reflashed the verdex with my own build. I did not touch the u-boot since it appeared to be working properly; I just followed the Wiki instructions for reflashing the file system and the kernel, the same as I did when installing Dave Hylands' version. And once again, my system hangs on boot. Here is the log: GUM> reset resetting ... I am using all default parameters except for 600 MHz processor setting and deselecting the bridge package. So why does mine hang? Do the default configuration settings actually work, or not? |
