[Gumstix-users] reading schematics?

I wanted to solder the usb power connectors. I went to download the
schematics for my console-st
I found the material here

but I can't figure out what to read them with?

what is a brd?
what is a sch?(schematic of some sort)
what is a dxf?

What programs do I need for these files?
