Hi, I'm about to reflash my gumstix, so I looked on the wiki and with google. http://cs.berea.edu/robotics/Current_Dev/Gumstix/Reflash_OS I found that the following instructions differ slightly from what is on the wiki, in that they send the jffs2 filesystem to / then *md5sum *it to see if it was transferred correctly. At this point they interrupt uboot, load the file into RAM with /fsload a2000000 /name_of_image/** then the procedure continues as described in the wiki. Can anyone comment on the the above alternative method? Do you reckon it's ok? (it probably is even better than what the wiki says, because it allows to spot corrupted filesystem, but I'd like to be 100% sure before I mess up my gumstix) Thanks Luca |
