At any rate, its probably an easier task to get libusb and SANE backends to play nice rather than to try to engineer your own kernel or change versions. Its not to say it isn't possible, just not trivial ;) Each device/platform is going to have its specific needs for the kernel, which requires patching. Its possible that if you just need to downgrade to an older 2.6 kernel that you could have a look at some of the older revisions of the gumstix buildroot to grab its kernel config and patches as a starting point, but from the sounds of it that wouldn't help you too much. Guess this really doesn't help you get back down the creek... sorry I can't help more. Chris |
