Just to report my results, I tried supplying 5.5v on the roboaudio header (v_robobatt). That seems to do the trick, the gumstix boots up with the wifistix-cf attached. During uboot it was drawing ~360mA, then jumped around as high as 450mA while loading the kernel and during the kernel boot it was around 380mA - spiking once up to 450, probably while searching for wifi networks (I didn't have the antenna attached as there are no open networks here). When the gumstix entered the idle loop it settled at around 215mA (if my short-term memory serves me right, might have been 315). Thanks for your help Dave. Arnar |
