Hi, I have USB running from Linux OK however not on 2.6.5. I believe that you need 2.6.11 or more to run USB reliably. I have been running 2.6.15-4 for some time with no issues at all. There are some good tips at http://docwiki.gumstix.org/Tutorial#USBNet_under_Linux Cheers Grahame Jordan Dave Hylands wrote: > Hi Tarani, > > >> As I had mentioned in my earlier mail , we had compiled Buildroot >> sucessfully with default configurations. >> >> Now we want to setup the connection between the Linux host system( 2.6.5) >> and the gumstix mother board using USB.The board is getting detected but we >> are not able to communicate. We have followed the procedure mentioned in the >> tutoria but could not achieve the needful. >> >> Could you please explain the steps that have to followed in detail. >> > > Sorry - I'm only familiar with usbnet from Windows XP. > > What version of software are you actually running on your gumstix? > i.e.if you execute: > > cat /etc/gumstix-release > > on the gumstix itself, what does it show? > > |
