well it really depends on what you are going to do. I started out with a netMMC+connex-400xm-bt+robostix and I had an extra waysmall for reflashing. if you don't plan on using the ethernet for any thing, I'd go with this: http://gumstix.com/store/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=146 but I would highly recoment the Bluetooth option. It makes connecting and sending files alot easier especialy for robotics. then you can compile a change and send the program over without using wires. very handy. that and if you are building smallish robots you'll have less bulk on the bot...it's a problem I'm running into.
