Thank you Tim, Dave. after downloading the dropbear-0.47.tar.bz2 into the gumstix-buildroot/dl directory I was able to finish the make without errors. Before receiving your answers I did create a new user to have a fresh start and did svn without revision and was getting the same error. When I build the toolchain the first time after getting the Gumstix I didn't get this error. Why did I get it now, in other word why is this file missing from the svn transfert? Now I am again able to compile my applications (thank you) but just to see if it works I tried to rebuild the kernel. It went through without any error but when I ran it from the ram on the connex I got a bunch of never ending errors. I don't know if I can attach a file to the mailing list so I am going to send it in a separate email to you Dave. Thanks, Rock. > ------------------------------ > > Message: 2 > Date: Sun, 08 Oct 2006 00:47:46 +0000 > From: tim...@co... > Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] gumstix-build tool problem > To: "General mailing list for gumstix users." > <gum...@li...> > Message-ID: > <100...@co...> > > > It looks like you don't have zlib installed > > -------------- Original message ---------------------- > From: in...@ad... > > Hi. > > > > Following the wiki I started reinstalling the tools using > > svn -r1088 http://svn .... > > cd umstix-buildroot > > make deconfig > > make > > > > and here comes the problem it builds up until: > > > > make[1]: Leaving directory > > `/home/yvon/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/zlib-1. 2.3' > > touch -c /home/yvon/gumstix-buildroot/build_arm_nofpu/zlib-1.2.3/libz.so.1.2.3 > > Message: 3 > Date: Sat, 7 Oct 2006 17:48:59 -0700 > From: "Dave Hylands" <dhy...@gm...> > Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] gumstix-build tool problem > To: "General mailing list for gumstix users." > <gum...@li...> > Message-ID: > <c32...@ma...> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed > > Hi Rock, > > > Following the wiki I started reinstalling the tools using > > svn -r1088 http://svn .... > > cd umstix-buildroot > > make deconfig > > make > > > > and here comes the problem it builds up until: > > Try grabbing the files from http://files.gumstix.com/ and place the > downloaded file into the gumstix-buildroot/dl directory and then > redoing the make. > > -- > Dave Hylands > Vancouver, BC, Canada > http://www.DaveHylands.com/ > > > > ------------------------------ |
