The "typical" way of doing this is to have the web server lauch a program via cgi and the output from the program will be sent to the other side. The stock gumstix ships with a script called ifconfig, which can be found in /var/www/cgi-bin >From your browser, you can request: http://#.#.#.#/cgi-bin/ifconfig Replace #.#.#.# with the IP address of your gumstix.
