When uClibc was upgraded from 0.9.27 to 0.9.28 (I think those are the right versions), they broke binary compatability. So what that means is that if you're using the latest buildroot to build your program, then you should also flash your gumstix with the latest buildroot as well. Either that or back up to the version of buildroot that matches the stuff that's on your gumstix, which is probably r773. You can fetch the 773 buildroot from svn and rebuild everything and it will probably work again.
