Gordon, I am working on the development of a cooperative UAV fleet and I am very interested in the gps functionality on the Audiostix II. Which ublox gps unit will you be mounting? Will it be available in different versions or will it be just the footprint for the user to add the gps unit? Also, what do you mean by > 4) the pinout is straight from the breakout gps=20 Does there already exist a gps breakout board? I didn't find one on the website. Subject: [Gumstix-users] A new site from us *********************** Your mail has been scanned by InterScan VirusWall. ***********-*********** Many of you know that we have been struggling with how to make our=20 daughtercard designs available in a useful format that will allow=20 sharing improvements as easily as sharing/diff/patch/merging is done in=20 software. I can only say-- it's not done yet... On the other hand, there's too much 'need to know' info that I've kept=20 bottled up waiting for a great way to make it useful. So we've decided=20 to publish it anyway in the form it's in plus a graphic format (we chose png) just to get going. So, take a look at http://pubs.gumstix.com. Those of you with time let us know what you think about =20 http://pubs.gumstix.com/boards/AUDIOSTIX/PCB00012-R775/ (audiostix II) 1) there's no battery-recharge 2) we will offer it with/without GPS 3) the gps antenna marked is an SMA and it will go on the top (although=20 it's shown on the bottom right now) the contender antennas were hirose=20 u.fl and mmcx. 4) the pinout is straight from the breakout gps (i.e 50mil pitch) And-- of course-- more to come.
