Hi Dave, That's what is confusing me. I read through the wiki and followed the directions. I am uploading the i2c-bootloader hex file and it goes through no problem. Uisp works perfectly, but when I try to execute i2c-load that is when it gives me the error message. I'll try everything again tonight. Thanks, -Jay -----Original Message----- From: gum...@li... So there are 3 disctinct blink patterns, for 3 distinct modes. i2c Bootloader Mode - Blinks twice per second at regular 1/2 second interval. This means that you're in bootloader mode. Once in bootloader mode, it will stay that way until commanded to do something else. If no program is loaded into the main flash, then bootloader mode is entered automatically. Countdown Mode - Blinks five times per second at regular 1/5 second interval. This means that the bootloader has detected that a program is loaded into flash. It will stay in countdown mode for the configured number of seconds and if the bootloader-info command is received, it will go into bootloader mode, otherwise it will transfer to the program in flash. i2c-io Mode - Blinks twice per second, as two fast blinks followed by a longer pause. This is when the i2c-io program is actually running. So, if the bootloader and i2c-io.hex are loaded properly, the bootloader should be in countdown mode for five seconds, and then in i2c-io mode. If you use uisp to download the i2c-io.hex file then the red led will come on and not blink (this is because i2c-io.hex uses some of the functionality in the bootloader. Downloading i2c-io.hex using uisp wipes out the bootloader. -- Dave Hylands Vancouver, BC, Canada http://www.DaveHylands.com/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
