www.pololu.com will laser-cut acrylic for reasonable rates. I bet you could make a nice case for a gumstix + addon boards for pretty cheap, either with a few stacked layers of 1/8" acrylic or by building a box with tabs & slots to keep things aligned. They did a polycarbonate project for me (a small hexapod) and I found them easy to work with. They no longer cut polycarbonate but acrylic should be fine for a gumstix case unless you intend to beat it up.=20 :-) On 8/25/05, el...@co... <el...@co...> wrote: > So does anyone know any alternatives? >=20 > > > > From: Nate W <del...@gm...> > > Date: 2005/08/25 Thu AM 12:04:40 EDT > > To: gum...@li... > > Subject: Re: [Gumstix-users] Custom Fabrication > > > > Do some web searching before you order from them, I love the idea but > > I looked into them a while ago and found enough complaints that I was > > afraid to try them. :-( > > > > On 8/24/05, Jeremy Grosser <je...@ru...> wrote: > > > > > I just got the September issue of Wired and read the article entitled > > > "The Dream Factory" about a company called eMachineShop that will > > > machine custom parts based on a CAD drawing submitted online.
