Hey, Again, thanks. As unlikely as it seems that I would fry U-boot, because c'mon, you'd have to confirm it.. I did issue the command 'protect all off' before writing to memory. I knew what I was doing was stupid and risky, but when I followed the directions from the Tutorial (which I had followed several times before), The gumstick replied that the memory had been protected (which it was not before).=20 This time, I had installed the CF card on the 80pin highrose. Could that have caused this strange behavior? In any case, due to my stuipidity, looks like I need to figure out how to reflash this thing. Craig, it says on the www.gumstix.com that they(you?) can provide the tool needed to reflash the device. Do you know anything about this? I sent an e-mail a few days ago and haven't heard anything back.
