I am trying to get the HDMI output working on my fire/sumitt combo and my monitor accepts 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080p. I am trying to get the 480p working @ 60hz using the latest desktop image for DL. I have tried setenv dvimode 640x480-16@60 saveenv and I also tried setenv dvimode 800x600-16@60 saveenv and I am still not seeing anything on the display. I have booted this from console a few times and I waited over 20 min each time to make sure it fully booted from the sd card, which should have been more than enough time since it doesnt take that long on console. Can some help me out with what I should be doing? I went and bought a new monitor today that has hdmi and dvi plugs on it and I still can not get anything to show up on either my hd tv nor the new monitor. Here are the settings I have tried. 640x480MR-16@60 800x600MR-16@60 1024x768MR-16@60 1280x800MR-16@60 1280x1024MR-16@60 1440x900MR-16@60 1680x1050MR-16@60 I tried these in uboot like I have found to do and have done the following commands to set and save them. setenv dvimode (one of the settings about) saveenv boot Am I missing something here? I figured the tv was the issue since I have read that the port does not give signals most tv's like (though I can send any of these settings from my computer to the same tv and monitor that are not working with the gumstix) I have tried both the on board nand version and the most current desktop image you can DL. I have not had luck building my own yet. Could the summit board have a bad hdmi port? Thanks for any help figuring this out. Any chance anyone has any ideas on this? I need to connect to a monitor and I can not set it up to get the DVI monitor nor my HDtv to work with the HDMI port. Above I posted how I have tried to do this. Am I missing something? Does the change have to be in the kernel as well as uboot? I have also tried doing 800x600MR-24@60 with no luck as well. Is there a way to test if the port is bad? The computer monitor should be working with stock display resolution but it doesnt nor does my HDTV work with any of the settings nor the 720p setting. Let me know if I can post something else to help figure it out. Or if there is an actual step by step to show how to properly set this up I would happy with that but I can not find anything current on here nor on google.
