Hello Gtkpodders! Many thanks for the wonderful software. Without it my iPod would be in much less use! In order to try out the new features I tried to build the latest release in my Ubuntu breezy box. It compiles like charm without the video support, namely without mpeg4ip lib. However with that lib I'm stuck with the configure script. The stock Ubuntu mpeg4ip library (or headers) seem to be broken somehow. At least I didn't manage to find all the needed headers. Thus I compiled the library manually from sources without complaints. Still I'm not able to get the gtkpod-0.99.0 configure script to recognize the library. Here's what I did: CFLAGS="-I/opt/local/mpeg4ip-1.4.1/include/ -L/opt/local/mpeg4ip-1.4.1/include/" ./configure --prefix=/opt/local/gtkpod-0.99.0 and it just says that check the mp4 library installation. I have no idea how the gnu configure tools work. As a quick check I tried to compile the following C code: #include <mp4.h> int main() { int i; } with command gcc $CFLAGS test.c, and it completes (I don't actually know if this is a proof of anything, I'm not a C wizard either). All help would be appreciated! -- Juha PS: Many thanks for the podcasting support, it's great |
