this time I hope I will complete the posting berfore send it :P here what i do: download the sources from the shuffle3g branch and untar them to a directory. than run >./autogen.sh >make I get following error: CC libgpod_la-itdb_itunesdb.lo cc1: warnings being treated as errors itdb_itunesdb.c: In function ‘write_hphs’: itdb_itunesdb.c:6379: error: integer constant is too large for ‘long’ type I'm using 32 bits Ubuntu so, to compile, I use my a little bit of my rusty C ;) and change this line to (itdb_itunesdb.c:6379): put64lint (cts, (((guint64) 0x0000ffff) << 32) + 0x0001ffff); which should have the same effect as the original line. After that it compiles fine so >make >sudo make install installs. >gtkpod to call the gui. If this bug is specific to my environment and you encounter difficulties to reproduce. Then can you reproduce the bug and give me the exact steps you took. I know what happened but I can't say why it happened and I need to be able to reproduce the bug to figure that out. |
