Thanks everyone for your help. I already had EasyTAG go and re-tag the files in 2.3. So the problem is fixed for me now :). If I get a chance, I might play around with the new version or the patch. Thanks again! -Mike ----- Original Message ---- From: Jorg Schuler <Jor...@gm...> To: gtkpod-questions <gtk...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, December 9, 2008 7:00:53 PM Subject: Re: [Gtkpod-questions] Artist tag not being read properly from file Hi, the file is smaller and I tried it. It's as I said: Album Artist: Syd Barrett Artist: NEW Syd Barrett The current version in SVN correctly populates the Artist field as you would expect with "NEW Syd Barrett". That's the change I was talking about. You can therefore either upgrade (i.e. compile yourself) or change both tags until a package becomes available. I'll not be forwarding the mp3 to the list as there's no need to do so anymore. Cheers, JCS. Here's a smaller file. I've put "NEW" in front of the artist name, but that change isn't showing up in gtkpod. I hope this is small enough for the list. I'm in the process of re-saving all my tags in ID3 2.3 (EasyTAG is doing it automatically, but slowly), but I'll keep a couple files on the side to help this problem get taken care of.
